The Harrier is Ruger’s take on a straightforward, upgrade-friendly AR-15. Upper and lower receivers are machined to mil-spec dimensions from 7075 forgings and finished in Type III hard-coat anodizing, and the lower includes a tension screw to eliminate play between the upper and lower for a tighter fit. The upper carries a forward assist, dust cover, and brass deflector, and the nitrided bolt carrier group runs a properly staked gas key for reliability.

The 16.1″ Government-profile barrel features 6-groove 1:8″ twist rifling, a mid-length gas system, and a nitrided finish. The muzzle is threaded 1/2″-28 and ships with an A2 flash hider that can be swapped for other muzzle devices. A slim free-float handguard improves ergonomics and carries a full-length Picatinny top rail, M-LOK slots at the 3:00, 6:00, and 9:00 positions (with eight intermediate slots toward the muzzle), and QD sling sockets on both sides. Furniture is Magpul: an MOE-K2 grip and a DT Carbine collapsible stock on a mil-spec buffer tube giving an adjustable 10.75″–14″ length of pull. Because it’s built to mil-spec and ships with a single-stage GI trigger, selector, charging handle, and carbine buffer and spring, the Harrier accepts the full range of standard AR-15 components.
