Description
The Carbon Series is Diamondback’s entry-level DB15 line, built to deliver reliable AR-15 performance without the premium price. This Lipsey’s-exclusive version wears a white Cerakote finish over forged 7075 T-6 aluminum receivers — an A3 flattop forged upper and Diamondback’s Carbon forged lower. The 16″ barrel is 4150 chrome-moly-vanadium steel with a black nitride finish, 1:8″ RH twist, and a carbine-length direct-impingement gas system. The muzzle is threaded 1/2″-28 and ships with an A2 flash hider that can be swapped for other devices.
A 15″ aluminum M-LOK free-float handguard gives plenty of real estate for accessories and keeps the barrel free-floated for consistency. Furniture is Magpul: an MOE grip and an MOE Carbine collapsible stock adjustable from 32.5″ to 35.75″ overall length. The bolt carrier group is a shot-peened, magnetically-particle-inspected mil-spec 8620 carrier, and the rifle runs a standard mil-spec single-stage trigger, so it accepts the full range of AR-15 components. No sights are included. Ships with one 30-round Magpul Gen M2 PMAG. Built by Diamondback in Cocoa, Florida.
