New to buying a firearm online? Here's exactly what to expect, from browsing to bringing it home.

    Choose a firearm that complies with any state and local regulations that apply where you live.

    Add the firearm to your cart like any other item.

    Select Your Address

    Enter your billing/shipping address at checkout as usual.

    Find a Dealer Near You

    When you reach checkout with a firearm that requires FFL shipment in your cart, our FFL (Federal Firearms License) Dealer Finder Tool automatically appears and shows licensed dealers near your shipping address.

    Select Your FFL

    Choose the FFL dealer who will receive the firearm on your behalf and handle your transfer.

    Contact the FFL

    Call or message the dealer and let them know you need a standard transfer for a Title I firearm. FFLs typically charge $20-$50 to process a transfer.

    Complete Your Purchase Online

    Finish checking out with Anvil Armory.

    Notify Your Dealer

    Let your selected FFL know your order is on its way. Give them your name, order number, and item name.

    Bring Your ID When It Arrives

    Once the item arrives, bring your government-issued photo ID with you. At the dealer, you'll fill out ATF Form 4473 and the dealer will run a background check - these are federal requirements.

    Take Possession and Go Train!

    Once the transfer is complete, the firearm is yours.

What is a Standard Transfer?

A Standard Transfer is any Title I firearm purchased elsewhere from the dealer performing the background check.

Can someone else pick up my firearm for me?

No. The transfer must be completed by the person named on the 4473.

Can I ship the firearm to my house?

No. Federal law requires firearms to go to a licensed FFL dealer.
